Masil SF 1000 is a food grade polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone fluid used as a defoamer/antifoam in a wide range of food processes and the main component in silicone emulsions for food and industrial uses with an average viscosity of 1000 centistokes (cSt). Silicone fluids ranging from 5 to 5,000 cSt are also used as fiber and thread lubricants, mechanical lubricants, mold release agents, calendar lubricants and antiblocking treatments in paper manufacture. They are also excellent lubricants for rubber and plastic parts. Silicone fluids in this viscosity range are also used in automobile and furniture polishes, protective hand creams and lotions, dielectric and damping media, fluid drives, calibration baths, and sonar transducers. This product is packaged at an FSMA-compliant facility with GFSI recognized food safety certification.
