DyStar to Acquire Lenmar Chemical Corporation

October 31, 2013, Charlotte, NC – Mr. Ruan Weixiang, the chairman of the Lonsheng Group and DyStar is pleased to announce today that DyStar has acquired Lenmar Chemical Corporation of Dalton, Georgia. For over 30 years, Lenmar has very successfully manufactured specialty chemical products to service the Textile and Carpet, Fiber processing, Laminate floor, Water treatment, Oil and Agriculture Industries.

The acquisition combines the strengths of DyStar North America and Lenmar, by leveraging DyStar’s strong regional network in the Americas and global reach and Lenmar’s diversified product portfolio and technical expertise. In addition, the customers of each company will benefit with new products and services.

“Lenmar’s management has been very successful in transforming and diversifying their business over the last 3 years” commented Ron Pedemonte, President of DyStar Americas. He continued:  “The acquisition of Lenmar and their manufacturing capabilities accelerates our strategy to strengthen and expand our textile and non-textile chemical business in the Americas.”

Lenmar’s customer base is predominately in the Southeast of the United States. DyStar will expand Lenmar’s products and technology to a national and global level.

The combined business of DyStar L.P. and Lenmar will operate chemical manufacturing and distribution sites in Reidsville, NC and Dalton, Georgia with more than 50,000 tons of annual capacity.

 

ABOUT LENMAR

Lenmar was founded in March 1981 by the principal owners and founders Charles R. (Bob) and Jamie E. (Jim) Price Sr. Lenmar began servicing primarily the carpet industry in its hometown of Dalton, Georgia. Today, Lenmar has expanded their product offering to service the Paper, Laminate Floor, Water Treatment, Oil and Agricultural industries. Lenmar manufactures its products at the Dalton facility. Lenmar has a strong technical team of chemists and technicians to service existing products and develop new products.
