Eric Hopmann

Eric was appointed the group CEO in November 2014.

He started his career with an apprenticeship at Hoechst AG between 1980 and 1982 and returned in 1988 being in charge of the Dyes Business for North Africa countries. In 1990, he was relocated to Hoechst Indonesia as Business Manager, Dyes, and two years later in 1992 he became the Department Manager, Dyes and Fibers in Hoechst Taiwan.

He has been with DyStar since the foundation in 1995 when he was appointed Managing Director of DyStar Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2000 he moved to Hong Kong as Head of China. From 2003 until 2010 he was the General Manager of DyStar China in Shanghai. After that he returned to Europe and became the Head of Europe.

Eric is married and has three children.

Gerald Talhoff

Vice President, Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain
DyStar Group

Gerald holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. He started his career with Bayer in Germany before transferring to DyStar in 1995.

During more than 20 years of experience in chemical engineering and operations management, Gerald has held several management positions within DyStar Group while based in Germany, China and Singapore. His current responsibilities include DyStar’s global manufacturing footprint, supply chain management and corporate sustainability.

He currently lives with his wife and daughter in Singapore. When time allows, Gerald loves to do outdoor sports and traveling.

Vera Huang

Vice President, Global Procurement and North Asia Region
DyStar Group

Ms. Vera Huang received her bachelor’s degree of Business Administration at the Electronic University of Shanghai.

Vera’s career started in 2004 at Ciba as a key account manager. After the acquisition of the Ciba Textile Division by Huntsman in 2008, Vera transferred to the procurement function as global purchasing category manager. In early 2010, Vera joined the Henkel Group and was working in APAC as regional purchasing manager.

She joined DyStar in September 2011 and has been developing with the new company ever since. In September 2012 she was appointed Global Procurement Director and in December 2014 she was also named the General Manager, Greater China. She was appointed the Vice President, North Asia Region in April 2017.

In her leisure time, she enjoys playing with her little cute son.

Ng Siew Boon

Vice President, Group Finance
DyStar Group

Graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Siew Boon is a Chartered Accountant with about 20 years of professional experience in leading global finance operations, transformation and optimization. She was also actively involved in Enterprise Resource Planning system implementation, business process standardization and strategic enterprise projects including sales organization transformation.

Prior to joining DyStar in January 2019, Siew Boon helmed senior financial leadership positions where she oversees the global finance operations in the information and technology industry.

Siew Boon is married with four children and she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and visiting museum outside of work.
